Principals: About

MEREDITH J. WEISS

A native New Yorker, Meredith Weiss brings to MDM Funding Group her skills, experience, knowledge and passion about Real Estate and Finance. In the industry for fifteen years now, she has facilitated over $450 million in sales and in funded loans.

Meredith is a real estate executive with a proven track record of success. Over the years, she has developed a large network representing and working with private investors, banks, REITS, syndicators, investment funds and other institutional/private money clients in the financing of commercial and residential real estate assets.

Being equally as passionate about giving back, Meredith is heavily involved in the non-profit sector. In addition to founding two organizations – current and past positions held include COO, CFO, Executive Director, Director of Fundraising and President of various organizations, of which she currently sits on the Boards.

Meredith grew up in Lawrence, NY, and later attended City University of New York at Queens College as well as Tel Aviv University. The combination of being well traveled, the perpetual entrepreneur and a networker by nature has proven to be successful.

DAVID MALLEL

David Mallel has successfully owned and operated businesses for the past two decades. In 1997 he founded LCC Investments and has purchased/sold several wholesale and retail businesses. Investment advisory and consultantcy eventually led to David overseeing $100million in assets for a California based private money group. Brought into the organization with the goal of expanding the commercial lending division, as Senior Vice President he contributed to its success by increasing loan volume . Additionally, David has strategically raised several Million Dollars from private investors for his hard money trust deed investments.

With responsibility for all aspects of loan originations, David built a strong team of loan officers, processors and underwriters to handle new business relationships, as well as manage the existing loan portfolios. Being a real estate investor himself, David understands the intricacies of the business which allows for seamless operations.

David currently sits on the Board of Directors of the California State Exposition and State Fair since 2012. Having a strong commitment to the California community, he served as Board President is 2015. California Expo is a 900 acre site located in Sacramento, and is home to many events throughout the year with attendance that exceeds over 2 million people annually. David is also integrally involved in setting policy and procedure for the staff who run the day to day operations and events.

David is a graduate of University of California at Irvine.

Principals: About

MARK SLOMANN

Mark Slomann has over 30 years of real estate experience. He started his career as one of the initial members of Ernst & Whinney’s (now EY) Real Estate Services Group. He has worked in a various finance and operations positions for some of the nation’s largest real estate companies including The Koll Company, The Irvine Company, and Westfield Group.

In addition he has been the Chief Financial Officer for several entrepreneurial real estate developers. He has negotiated in excess of $250 million of loan transactions and also has extensive experience in loan workouts.

Recently he has been performing the commercial due diligence for a California based lender.

Mark has a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is also a licensed CPA (inactive).
